1965 YOM License Plates

I have started collecting 1965 License Plates for my 1965 GMC 1 ton Truck. I'm looking
for good "Farm" &/or "Truck" plates from Western States & Canada. Also other states
I have visited or find interesting. I have the plates shown below. I'm looking 1965 Utah
Farm Truck plates, I'm not sure if they had them back then, but they did in later years.
Farm plates will should have "Farm" or "Farm Truck" stamped on them. I have
found 1965 Utah Truck, Trailer & Passenger Car License Plates.

Utah Plates from what I have larned so far in the 60s were like this; Passenger plates have
two letters followed by four number, truck plates have two groups of three numbers, trialer
plates have a small "TL" stacked on the left followed by a set of numbers. I'm not sure if
Utah had a Farm Plate back in 1965, I'm still looking for either a plate or info.

Some plates are not truck plates just because they start with the letters "T" or "TK". Some are.
Farm plates will have "FARM" or "FARM TRUCK" on them some place, & some states like
Texas had Machinery Plates. Oregon & some other states will have just letters, like "T" for
truck & "F" for farm, some will have "TK", like the Alaska plates show below.

The 1965 Nevada plate is a "Truck" plate from "Washoe County" which is where Reno &
Sparks is located. The "W" is for Washoe County & the "T" is for truck. Information I
have been told is that Nevada has never issued anything special for a farm vehicles.
Nevada has 17 counties & back in 1965 they county coded the plates. Clark county would
have had a "C" where the "W" is on this one, the other 15 counties used two letters codes.
Reflective plates did not come out until sometime in 1967, so this one is not a true 1965
plate, the Nevada 1965 plate was used from 1965 thru 1968, they placed a sticker on the rear
plate only for 1966, 1967 & 1968, so this plate was issued in either 1967 or 1968 as it is
reflective & not blue on natural aluminum. The other plate in the set has a 68 sticker.

Some states did not issus a new plate for 1965, rather they used a sticker

Other Wanted Plates

I would like to find 1965 Wyoming Truck Plates from Uinta County, which would have the #19
before the Bucking Bronco logo. Also I would like 1965 Idaho Plates from Oneida county,
they should have the small number 1O (#1 letter O) stacked at in front of the number. I have
yet to find a License Plates website with a good history of plates uses for each state.
I have found a Idaho Plate History WebSite.

If you have 1965 License Plate pairs you want to sell contact me, remember I want Truck or
Farm plates. Use the e-mail button below to goto the contact page. Also if you have or know of
License Plate WebSites, contact me as well. BTW I won't pay too much for a used set of plates,
my max price in about $25, this is a hobby for me, not a money making veture. If you looking
for License Plates, you can try eBay, I got most of my plates there.
